Martha Marie (rod #2)

The Paul H. Young Martha Marie

In August 2004, I began work on my second bamboo fly rod.  In March 2005, I completed the 7'6" 2 piece, two tip 6 wt. Martha Marie.  This rod is based upon the Paul Young taper for a 5 wt. rod.  Chris O. has added the 6 wt. version on HexRod.

This rod was completed using a steel form and hand held Stanley planes.  Rod #1 was built using the Morgan Hand Mill.
