The Deschutes River, Beavertail Campground August 22-25 2002

"Organize it and they will come...."

Those were the words that Speyfly and the other organizers heard in their heads at night.

I don't have the background on all who was involved with the planning and execution, so I'll stay out of the "thank you" business.

On to the photos of the event.  Click on the small photographs and the photo will open with a larger version use the back button to return to the Rondi page.  If you can help identify the people in the photographs, drop me an e-mail and let me know the picture number and who's there!

Fishing

Fish1.jpg (70701 bytes)  17.  SteveO not enjoying the taste of the Whitefish he just caught.  He was getting so desperate on this riffle, he dove in and grabbed the bugger with his teeth!

Scott1.jpg (64789 bytes)  18.  Scott T. resting after a morning Steelhead skunking!  I had just saw a group (herd?) of bighorn sheep just above me.  Really cool.

Fish2.jpg (234191 bytes)  19.  There's always a dark side of every get together.  I believe these folks are some frustrated Westfly'ers that turned to gear-chucking near the falls to get themselves a Steelhead and win the rod provided by Merril of the Numb-Butt Fly Company.  What folks will do for a killer rod.

Fish3.jpg (47399 bytes)  20.  The Native guy was knocking them dead.  He caught two HUGE Steelhead while I watched.  You couldn't get me out on one of them tipsy platforms.

Great weekend and great company.

Thanks to the folks who made it possible!
